APPROACH

I help clients navigate difficult life experiences by providing a safe and supportive space to understand their challenges and transitions. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive. I integrate different modalities such as psychodynamic therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to meet each individual’s immediate needs. Together, we’ll explore your past experiences to understand and address your current challenges, while using evidence-based techniques to improve your symptoms and overall well-being. With a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach, I foster an environment of trust and collaboration.

My mission as a therapist is to empower individuals to embrace their authenticity, reclaim their autonomy, live in alignment with their deepest desires, and create a life that is meaningful to them.

I welcome diversity in all forms, including body sizes, abilities, races, sexualities, genders, and religions.

BACKGROUND

I identify as a Latina cisgender woman, a first-generation American, and an older sibling. I am fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. My background is Brazilian, and I was raised in Miami where I learned Spanish and shared acculturation experiences with fellow Hispanic friends. Growing up, I frequently moved between schools, neighborhoods, and countries, which fueled my interest in travel and learning about different cultures. Given my own lived experiences, I enjoy helping clients navigate the complexities of living between two cultures and finding their sense of belonging.

I have a strong interest in supporting women of all ages, addressing trauma, helping manage chronic illness, aiding marginalized communities, and providing perinatal support. As a yoga and meditation instructor, spiritualist, and doula, I bring a unique perspective to my practice. I’m also passionate about using somatic therapy techniques to help clients integrate past experiences.
