CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Adrian Reyes, M.S., LMFT
Adrian Reyes has been practicing therapy in Berkeley since 2008 and has been supervising Associates since 2017. Adrian completed his Master's Degree at San Francisco State University in 2010 with an emphasis in Gerontological Counseling. Beginning as a former Associate at Blue Oak Therapy Center in 2012, Adrian has held every role in the organization. After his licensure in 2015, he went on to serve on the Board of Directors for four years until he was appointed Clinical Director in early 2020. In his private practice, he provides psychotherapy to individuals and families seeking to process grief, life transitions, terminal illness/end of life, and intergenerational trauma. David Heliotis, MA, LPCC

David Heliotis joined the Blue Oak Board of Directors as treasurer in 2024. Before joining the board at Blue Oak, he worked there for four years as an associate, acquiring most of his clinical hours towards licensure. During that time he led the transition of many paper-based processes into electronic systems. He also held the role of assistant bookkeeper, in which he worked regularly with Blue Oak's financials. As board treasurer, David brings a wealth of institutional knowledge of Blue Oak's finances and his numerical expertise from his first career in technology. He now works as a psychotherapist in private practice, working with individuals and men's groups using somatic and mindfulness-based approaches to therapy.

Farhana Sobhan

Farhana Sobhan (she/her/সে) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a hybrid private practice based Berkeley, California. Farhana’s clinical work is influenced by her intersectional identities and experiences as an immigrant, Bangladeshi, South Asian, Muslim, feminist, and queer artist. She graduated from California Institute of Integral Studies with a MA in Counseling Psychology and specialization in Expressive Arts therapy. She weaves together multimodal expressive arts tools such as visual, music, dance/movement, literary arts, and play in her work with clients. Farhana loves to do collaborative art to expand the narrative of art as process and community building. Farhana is a community organizer with the Alliance of South Asians Taking Action working to end violence, oppression, and exploitation within and against the Global majority communities in the Bay area.

Kira Olson, LMFT, LPCC

Kira Olson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in San Jose, California. Kira provides individual and family therapy, parent coaching, eating disorder assessments, and treatment planning services. Services are offered both online and in person, with specialties in teens and young adults, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. Kira’s professional background includes non-profit management and counseling in a variety of settings with diverse populations, including school-based settings, group home, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and home visits. Kira uses a client-centered, strengths-based approach, incorporating both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral interventions. With a background in spirituality and sport, Kira is passionate about the integration of mind, body, and spirit to support individuals with holistic healing. Kira is also involved other nonprofit boards, with a focus on community education, mental health advocacy and awareness, diversity, and affordable and accessible treatment services.
