Work with us

Blue Oak Therapy Center is a non-profit mental health organization composed of pre-licensed therapists who run both the clinical and administrative aspects of the practice via a horizontal power structure, using a consensus decision making model. Compared to other associateship programs, we offer more autonomy and fewer fees.

Blue Oak is committed to continual learning and engagement with self-reflexive processes to support our capacity as a group and as individual therapists. We strive to center our mission and organizational values around diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe that combating racism, xenophobia, sexism & misogyny, classism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia is a constant process that requires ongoing learning, un-learning and self-interrogation. We seek to hire therapists who represent the communities that we serve.

Blue Oak aims to build organizational systems that promote emotional and financial sustainability for our therapists and our clients. This supports our commitment to equity for our clients and therapists, while providing high quality care. In order to honor the multiple dimensions of diversity represented by our community, we seek to facilitate financial accessibility of services and increased possibility of culture match between client and therapist.
