APPROACH

My journey into the realm of therapy was an unexpected but deeply transformative one, sparked by the profound experience of becoming a mother. It was a role I had never envisioned for myself, yet when entrusted with the care of these remarkable little beings, I found myself propelled into a journey of self-discovery and growth that had a very different flavor than any other I had been on.

Becoming a mother unearthed within me a newfound awareness of my own strengths and limitations, as well as a profound curiosity about the intricate workings of the human psyche. Perhaps most important of all, I knew I didn’t want to pass on the intergenerational trauma of my parents and the generations before them. Despite my prior exploration through the practices of yoga and meditation, I realized that there were depths of understanding yet to be plumbed, and that my own journey of self-discovery was just the beginning.

While I hold a steadfast belief in the transformative power of movement, embodiment, and self-expression, I also came to understand that there are layers of complexity to the human experience that extend beyond the realm of physicality. This realization ignited a passion within me to delve deeper into the realms of psychology and therapy, to explore the intricate tapestry of human emotions, behaviors, and relationships.

My own journey of growth and self-discovery has fueled my desire to support others on their own path of exploration and healing. I am deeply committed to creating an emotionally safe, non-judgmental,  and nurturing space for individuals and couples to unravel the layers of their own psyche, and to cultivate a deeper understanding and acceptance of themselves and others.

Through my work as a therapist, I am privileged to accompany others, guiding them as they navigate the complexities of the human experience and empowering them to tap into their innate resilience and potential. It is my hope that through our work together, individuals and couples can emerge with a greater sense of wholeness, authenticity, and connection.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can find me exploring the great outdoors; hiking in the woods with my dog and kids, camping in all the amazing wilderness areas so close to home, or sharing home cooked meals with friends and family. I also enjoy live music and dancing, as well as all the meaningful connections I have cultivated over the years that inspire me to learn, grow, and find beauty in even the smallest of moments.
