Hello and welcome
Are you feeling stuck and overwhelmed by the current state of the world? Do you feel that parts of yourself are not welcomed, or are you afraid of them? Do you feel something needs to change, but you’re unsure what or where to start? You’re not alone.
As a queer, non-binary, Chinese immigrant born and raised in Costa Rica, a social-justice-oriented therapist, I see therapy as a collaborative path to healing and liberation. The relationship we build is a fundamental component of the therapeutic process because, naturally, we seek community, thrive in community, and heal in community. I understand systemic oppression’s role in our suffering and how appropriate responses from BIPOC and marginalized folks have been pathologized.
Exploring patterns that were once adaptive and have now become a source of pain and suffering will help you discover and create new ways of being, integrate disparate parts of yourself, process rage, and increase safety, rest, joy, and pleasure. I look forward to working with you and supporting you in accessing your inner wisdom and empowerment.
I hold an MA in Holistic Counseling Psychology – Somatic Psychology Specialization from JFK University. I am finishing my Somatic Experiencing training. I am trilingual and can offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
