Skillful, Compassionate Therapy in Berkeley

If you are here it is because you have recognized a longing. Whether you long for a clear direction, a shift toward joy and freedom, more fulfilling relationships, of a sense of strength and stability in your life, you have already taken the first step. You are an expert on your own experience and you have the power to change. Let me join you on the safe and loving exploration of your internal landscape that is psychotherapy.
Therapy is a sacred space of self-discovery and change. I believe this sacred space cannot be created and maintained without a strong commitment to nonviolence and consent, even toward those parts we have wished to change. You are not broken, and the goal of therapy is not to fix you. My role is not that of mechanic, repairing what is broken, but of gardener, cultivating a space in which you can grow into your fullest self.
My holistic specialization has allowed me to combine traditional talk therapy with both a spiritual and a body-oriented perspective. Between this specialization and my Hakomi training, I tend to work in a present-centered mindfulness, whether exploring your thoughts, your spiritual or imaginal reality, or the somatic experiences that arise in session.
