I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing psychotherapy to adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples in English and in Spanish.
I have been providing mental health services for 8 years. My clinical experience includes providing individual therapy to children, adolescents and adults going through a wide variety of situations. I have facilitated groups for people struggling with substance use and co-occurring conditions and I have also provided individual therapy and run a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction group in a residential treatment program for drugs and alcohol. I have also worked as a middle and high school counselor.
I hold a pre-graduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and the California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists.
I am committed to provide a safe environment for you to make discoveries and find coping strategies in a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
I consider myself an integrative therapist, incorporating psychodynamic, interpersonal, and cognitive behavioral theory into my work, as well as staying informed of new findings in psychological science.
